A cubic yard is a 3' x 3' x 3' cube. That is close to about 7 wheelbarrows of most products. If you are comparing to bagged mulches, most of those are 2 cubic foot bags, so a yard would be equal to 13.5 bags of mulch.

In most materials, including mulches and stones around an inch or smaller in size will cover roughly 100 square feet at 3 inches deep. Larger stones will cover less per yard.

That really depends on what product we're talking about. A ton is 2,000 pounds. Most mulches weigh 500-800 lbs per yard. Most granite and decorative stones weigh 2,600 lbs per yard. ABC (Crush & Run) weighs 3,200 lbs per yard. Sand weighs 2,800 lbs per yard. Most soils range 1,600 - 1,800 lbs.

We do NOT install any products. We can provide advice as to how to install if you'd like to install yourself. We do also recommend contractors to install. We warranty verified plant purchases from us for up to one year. We will replace the plant ONCE, up to the price originally paid. You must be able to show proof of purchase (we store purchases under your name if you tell us at time of purchase), as well as bring the dead plants back for us to diagnose and hopefully help you with your next plant! We encourage you to follow our planting guide, as well as contact us if you're having any trouble with plants. We'll do our best to help you figure out the problem BEFORE the plant dies.

We DO NOT take returns of bulk items. For returns of pallet stone and similar products there is a 20% RESTOCKING FEE. For Pavestone Returns, we only take full UNDAMAGED layers/patterns for return, and they will have a 20% RESTOCKING FEE. Any fertilizer/grass seed/similar product that came from us wet or damaged (excluding bags sold at broken bag discount) will be replaced at no cost.

We can NOT deliver two bulk products at the time. There is no divider in the truck and the products will mix when loaded. We can SOMETIMES bring bagged products or pine needles with your bulk delivery, if there is room on the back of the truck. Any pine needles will be dumped off of the truck and will NOT be hand stacked.

We DO NOT guarantee delivery off-road. In general, we DO NOT deliver off of any paved or gravel surface. Some exceptions may be made, but are up to the driver's discretion and at the mercy of recent weather. Drum Landscape Supply is not responsible for any damages that occur during delivery. That includes damage to curbs, sidewalks, asphalt, driveways, or other objects. If for any reason, the driver decides the delivery is dangerous and can not be made, or you are not able to be contacted to provide an alternate solution, delivery pricing still pertains.

There is a $100 product minimum for delivery, so the minimum amount of a product depends on the product price. With most of the decorative gravels, that would be a minimum of 1 yard. For topsoil it would be 3yards. Mulches vary from 3-5 yards. Granite gravels are 2 yards. If you're not sure what the product price or minimum is, feel free to call the office at 704-253-7010.

For most of our deliveries we use a single axle dump truck. This means it can support up to 6.5 Tons in weight. Our products are sold in cubic yards because the weight varies depending on the product, so the maximums vary depending on the product as well. All mulches are 18 yards. Most decorative and granite gravels are 5 yards. Soils range from 8 - 12 yards.

We do have a flatbed available for delivery of palleted items. Flatbed delivery starts at $125. We do NOT currently have a moffett with the flatbed to offload pallets. We prefer if you have a loader to unload from the flatbed. If we need to bring a skid steer to unload pallets there will be an additional upcharge for the skid steer.

For our regular dump trucks we need MINIMUM 10 FT WIDE to get our trucks inside your gate, driveway, etc. For flatbed and tandem deliveries we need more room, and room to turn around. Feel free to call the office at (704) 253-7010, and discuss if you are unsure.

Yes, the dyed mulch takes two days of being undisturbed to be rain fast. Delivery is not recommended on rainy days or on driveways when mulch is wet. If your mulch gets rained on after install, simply fluff to re-distribute color.

We do not stock certified playground mulch on our yard, but it is available for special order in quantities of 10 yards or more. If you do not need certified playground mulch, we would recommend our other shredded varieties for best results.
